Outpatient Treatment

Program Description:
Guidance/Care Center (GCC) provides community based psychiatric services, prevention services, intervention services, outpatient treatment, and aftercare services. Services address a variety of needs that include the following: situational stressors, family relations, interpersonal relationships, addictions, needs of victims of abuse, domestic violence or other trauma, medication management, parenting skills, and other issues that impact daily living and the ability to cope.

Population Served:
Children and Adolescent - Ages 0 to 17 years

  • Intervention Services for mental health and substance abuse
  • Outpatient Therapy for mental health and substance abuse
  • Prevention Services
  • Psychiatric services for mental health
  • Education and outreach for mental health and substance abuse

Adults - Ages 18 and older

  • Outpatient therapy for mental health and substance abuse
  • Psychiatric services for mental health and substance abuse
  • Education and outreach for mental health and substance abuse
  • Aftercare for substance abuse

Persons Most Able to Benefit from this Program:

  • Children with mental health and/or substance abuse issues
  • Individuals with family related problems
  • Individuals with substance abuse and/or dependency
  • Individuals with substance abuse and/or mental health issues
  • Those funded by Medicaid

Program Staffing:

  • Board Certified Psychiatrist
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselors
  • Licensed Clinical Social Workers
  • Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses
  • Master Clinicians
  • Bachelor Level Case Managers
  • Certified Addiction Professionals
  • Peer Specialists

Services:

  • Assessment and evaluations
  • Psychiatric evaluations and medication management
  • Group and individual therapy
  • Treatment and discharge planning
  • Referrals and linkages to appropriate services
  • Aftercare group
  • Medication information and other education

Treatment Planning:

  • Treatment planning and related services to be provided occurs directly with the client
  • Services are tailored to the strengths, needs, abilities and preferences of the client
  • Services promote personal responsibility
  • Goals of treatment are not the sole responsibility of a single staff person or a lone consumer, but are the responsibility shared by all in an active partnership with the client
