The Guidance/Care Center, Inc. has been informed by CARF...Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, that it has been accredited for a period of three years for the following programs:

    • The accreditation outcome, which represents the highest level of accreditation, is awarded to organizations which show substantial fulfillment of the standards established by CARF. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation Outcome has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its program and services are accountable, measurable and of the highest quality.

      This action marks the first attempt for certification by CARF, an international accreditation body.

      GCC was incorporated in 1973 as a 501(c) (3), nonprofit, charitable organization and cost-effective?high-quality dedicated to the provision of midway behavioral healthcare services throughout Monroe County. Located in Marathon in the heart of the Florida Keys - between Key Largo and Key West, GCC offers a comprehensive continuum of mental health and substance abuse services.

      CARF, a private, not-for-profit, Tucson-based accreditation body established in 1966, is committed to promoting the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served.
